Learn About the Latest ARM Technology and ARM / KEIL Tools at the Toronto User Group Meeting

July 9, 2015

Are you a Toronto-based embedded engineer interested in learning more about the latest ARM technology or the ARM / KEIL tools?

Join us July 22nd for the first ARM/KEIL user group meeting where our embedded specialist and ARM Accredited Engineer Shaun Purvis will present a preview of the new official ARM training on the Cortex-M7 microcontroller and its performance boosting capabilities.

The ARM/KEIL user group, organized by JORAL Technologies, brings embedded engineers together to learn how the latest ARM and KEIL technologies can help take their projects to the next level. On the agenda is a technical deep dive into the Cortex-M7 memory system, an overview of latest ARM and KEIL tools, and the chance to meet and discuss with fellow engineers.

Events details, as well as more information on the sessions, can be found below.

ARM Technology: Toronto ARM/KEIL User Group Meeting

Date: July 22, 2015
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m
Location: Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Vaughan

Agenda

8:30-9:00 Coffee, Snacks, and Introductions

9:00-9:30 What’s New with KEIL and ARM Tools in 2015

This session will give the user group an update of the new products and features of the ARM/KEIL development tools in 2015, with a focus on discussing safety-certified applications with the ARM Compiler Qualification Kit.
Speaker: Robert Campbell, JORAL Technologies

9:30-10:45 Boosting Performance with the New Cortex-M7 Memory System

This session, presented by an ARM Accredited Engineer, offers a preview of the official ARM training on the latest Cortex-M7 microcontroller. It will cover the new M7 memory subsystem and explain how and why it’s used. In particular, the creation and impact of a memory hierarchy using level-1 cache will be discussed in detail. The session will give developers a head start on producing next-generation products using the highest performance member of the Cortex-M family.

I’ve worked with Hardent for many years and have recommended them a few times in the past. Hardent has always been extremely successful with their clients. They have many flexible ways of working with a client and will negotiate a mutually beneficial solution.

In our case, they just log into our servers and we are in constant contact via IM, email, phone, etc., but they have all their own design tools as well, so they can work either way. Being in the same time zone makes working with them easy. I am sure you will be happy with the outcome of their work. They’ll hit the ground running much faster than a single contractor would.
