For the fourth year running we will be kicking off the New Year in Las Vegas at the biggest tech event of the year: CES! Join us at the DisplayPort booth where we will be showcasing the very latest in video compression technology.
From January 9-12, 2018, the Las Vegas Convention Center will play host to CES, the largest consumer technology show on the planet. Hardent will once again be one of the thousands of companies from all corners of the globe gathering to demonstrate new technologies and the latest must-see gadgets.
We will be spending the week at the DisplayPort booth in the “Tech East” area of the show, home to all the latest innovations in video, augmented and virtual reality, vehicle technology, and much more. We will be showing you how you can use the VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC) standard to increase the data transport capacity of display links and create cutting-edge display products of 4K and beyond.
Here’s a sneak peek at what we have planned for CES 2018.
- A newly-updated 4K demo of the latest version of DSC, version 1.2a
- This year’s demo will also include a demonstration of our Reed-Solomon Forward Error Correction (FEC) IP used to improve the resiliency to link errors when transporting DSC compressed video over DisplayPort 1.4.
- The opportunity to see the visually lossless performance of DSC
- We’ll be showing a series of compressed vs. uncompressed video and images side-by-side. Come and see the visually lossless picture quality of DSC live for yourself!
